Circular 4.5 mile route. A simple evening walk heading first to Over Owler Tor and Carl Wark, before following Burbage Brook across Lawrence Field and into the beautiful woods below. We'll pass near the abandoned quarry before emerging back at Surprise View, where weather permitting there may be a stunning sunset shining straight along the Hope Valley.

Start/End: Surprise view car park

Transport: The 271 bus leaves Sheffield Interchange at 17:50 to reach Surprise View around 18:20. However, the walk finishes with a long gap between buses so I recommend sharing lifts to get home – please bring petrol money to pay drivers. If there isn't enough car space for lift sharing, there is an option to cut the walk short to catch an earlier bus but missing out on the sunset.
