This is a beginners’ walk up to the Wheelstones; we’ll be contouring round through Ladybower wood and out to Cutthroat bridge before turning back towards the wheelstones and Derwent Edge. The pace will be fairly slow and steady.
We’ll stop at the wheelstones for a picnic (weather permitting, bring your own scotch eggs and Vimto) then meander back down over Whinstone Lee Tor. There are great views over Ladybower, out to the Great Ridge and Kinder from here, and we’ll make a few photography stops on the way down too.
