SWG is run by a committee of volunteers elected annually at the AGM
The committee holds monthly meetings and an AGM every October. We’ve included further details under the policy documents link in the footer. If you’d like to shape the future of SWG and join the committee, please get in touch before the next AGM.

Jenny
Treasurer
Treasurer Jenny keeps our accounts in order to make sure the group can continue running both now and in the future.
Emily
Vice Chair
Emily’s main job as Vice Chair is coordinating the walks programme with our volunteer walk leaders.
Peter
Weekends Away Coordinator
Several times a year, Peter tears the group away from our usual stomping ground to explore other parts of the UK (and beyond!) .
Miranda
Publicity Officer
Miranda attracts new members by running monthly pub meets and advertising SWG’s activities on our social media channels.
Jacob
Social Secretary
Jacob helps to organise social events for the group.
Policies
We are governed by the Ramblers Association so we follow their guidelines and take their advice on things like the Coronavirus, public liability insurance, etc.
