Meet at 10:30 in the car park by the visitor centre.
Full description: A visit to park gardens and hall at Hardwick.
We will start with a look around the Hall, “an English interpretation of Italian Renaissance Architecture” and the accompanying gardens. Will will then get our boot muddy taking in one of the longer circuits though the rolling hills and Grade I listed parkland of the estate, which wind through ancient trees and countryside.
This rough plan is subject to weather and the group and will be decided on the morning.
Important note on tickets:
This is a paid entry national trust property. However a lot of us secured free tickets thanks to Ben sporting a give away in September. These allow two adults in. We will do our best on the day to buddy up anyone with a spare ticket but be prepared to pay entry if you do not hold a ticket personally.
