It'll be Chats-worth it

  • Nether End Car Park, Baslow Church Lane Bakewell, England, DE45 1SR United Kingdom (map)

Leader: Jono S (07565103125)

Difficulty: Moderate. 7.5 - 10 miles

Meet at 10:30

Full description: We head South from Baslow, passing through the Cannon Kissing Gate and towards Chatsworth House. Then we will hike up the hill to the Hunting Tower and follow the ridge to the East of Chatsworth. We'll cross over the River Derwent and head back north up to Paine's bridge. I thought this would be a nice point to pop into Chatsworth and explore the Christmas Market there for an hour (entrance is free). Then it's straight on back to Baslow. Of course anyone who doesn't fancy seeing Chatsworth can head straight from the bridge (it's just 1 mile)

Public transport or car sharing options: Please offer lifts if you're driving... and maybe offer to pay for parking if you're being driven ;)

The 218 Peakline bus leaves from Sheffield Interchange at 9:40 with plenty more opportunities to catch it as it leaves Sheffield. This offers a return about every hour until 19:25.
