Full description:

The walk starts and ends in Bakewell. The route then follows the River Wye to Ashford in the Water from Bakewell and over the medieval Sheepwash Bridge. We will then ascend to Monsal Head, one of the Peak District’s most famous views, where we will have lunch looking across the viaduct. We may also be able to get an ice cream if we’re lucky. We will then head back through the Headstone Tunnel which was only opened to the public in recent years and is an impressive 533yds long, along the Monsal trail to Bakewell.

Please bring lunch, appropriate footwear and waterproofs.
