Full description: Another short evening walk, this time we start out along the shore of Ladybower reservoir before climbing through the woods for views up Woodlands Valley. We continue over Bridge-end Pasture before climbing the double peak of Crook Hill, where weather permitting we'll watch the sun set behind Kinder Scout.
Public transport or car sharing options: Nearest parking is the other side of Ashopton Viaduct (recommended because there's a pavement) or at the layby 500m further up Snake Pass (more space but further). Bus: catch the 257 from Sheffield Interchange at 17:00 to Ladybower Inn, then walk approx 1 mile in the same direction (straight on at the lights) to the walk start. You'll need a lift to get back to Sheffield after the walk.
Be prepared:
Please remember to dress appropriately for the time of year and day. A waterproof is always advised, as well as plenty of food and water. With this being an evening walk please bring a torch. Further information on what to bring can be found on our website here: https://www.sheffieldwalkinggroup.org.uk/be-prepared
