We start by walking up through Meersbrook Park then pass through local woodland to get to Graves Park. We’ll do a loop around Graves Park and the adjoining Cobnar Wood. There’s potential for a snack/cake stop at the Rose Garden Café before we head down via Carr Wood and back into Meersbrook Park.

Please note the first third of this walk is mostly uphill, but in accordance with the laws of physics we shall go up but come back down again (with the opportunity to take in some magnificent views of Sheffield as we do so).

Start/End: The lower entrance to Meersbrook Park (corner of Brook Rd/Meersbrook Park Rd)

Transport: If driving, there is free parking available on local residential streets.
If using public transport, the 20 to Hemsworth bus leaves Arundel Gate, Sheffield City Centre at 10.01 (Ag9 stop), arriving at Chesterfield Road/Beeton Road (a few mins’ walk away) at 10.14.
There are regular buses back to the city centre from Chesterfield Road.
