Kinder Surprise

  • Edale railway station Hope Valley, England, S33 7ZN United Kingdom (map)

The walk will take us from Edale train station up Jacobs Ladder towards the first trig point. There is a second trig on the walk towards Kinder Downfall. The path here is steep - 750m ascent - but fair. There should be good views around on a good day. The way back is a surprise and may consist of a muddy path back down so please bring appropriate footwear and clothing as it could be a wet and breezy day - it is the peak district after all! We will end up back into Edale before sundown ready for a pub stop to grab yourself any form of beverage and get warm.

Please ensure you bring enough food and water for the trip, it is around 12 miles depending on how we get on during the day. It isn't a walk in the park that's for sure, but it should be a fun one. It is also my first time leading a walk, we won't get that lost don't worry....

Please arrive on time so we can get away promptly.
