Chinley to Edale

After leaving the Chinley training station, we will head North over & across rolling farm land before dropping down into the valley of Hayfield North of the River Sett, crossing the valley and heading up hill, we will pass Mount Famine on our right, heading up towards Head Cross/KinderLow End, heading along the bridleway towards Swine’s Back towards Jacobs Ladder, down into the Vale of Edale heading along the Pennie Way back into Edale & most importantly the various pubs-finally the train back to Sheffield. This 11 mile walk is estimated to take 5-6 hours. The terrain is moderate with some steep ascents.
