Following the Derwent Valley Heritage way, along the River Derwent, taking in the natural beauty of the main valleys and re-entrants as we head south towards Bakewell, being flanked by Big Moor (Froggatt & White Edge) East Moor (Chatsworth Estate) on our left & on the right the villages of Eyam, Calver, Baslow. Finally, passing a mixtures of woods before heading into Bakewell.
It’s very unlikely to be hot on this walk but please remember bring enough food and water for a long hike.

Distance: 13 miles
Difficulty: Medium/hard (graded because of the distance opposed to difficulty of the terrain).
Start/End: Hathersage/Bakewell.
Transport: Train from Sheffield Station leaving at 08:12hrs & arriving at Hathersage at 08:31hrs. We’ll leave from the station shortly after this time.
Bakewell to Sheffield; Every 13 minutes or 40 minutes past the hour, from Bakewell Square Stand D there is a bus which will go into Sheffield & terminate at Sheffield Interchange.
There’s an estimated finish time of 4.30pm. Members are welcome to head straight off or to take a drink/food in the pub (never a bad idea after a long walk).
