From Longshaw Estate we will turn south following the footpath across the meadows until we arrive at a gate that leads to the main road A625. We will walk on the main road for a short while, passing the Grouse Inn and joining the path towards Froggatt Wood. Following this path will be able to admire the lovely Derwent Valley below. At this point we may stop for a lunch break. We will then descend to Clodhall Lane and walk towards Curbar. Once in Curbar, we will make our way towards Calver Mill and continue walking alongside the river Derwent towards Froggatt and then Grindleford. From there it’s through Padley Gorge and back to Fox House. There are few cafés and couple of pubs on the way to stop for drinks if you will be up for it :^)
The walk should take 4.5hours plus additional breaks for lunch/coffee. The walk should finish by 15:30.
