Description: A hilly walk that takes in some magnificent views across the Amber Valley and east towards Nottinghamshire. The walk follows the bridle path from Kelstedge to Ashover via Marsh Green Lane and Moor Road, passing the Black Swan to Ashover Rock. From here we descend the valley, passing Ogston Reservoir before climbing onto the opposing ridge and heading back to Kelstedge.
Public transport or car sharing options: X17 from Sheffield Interchange at 08:35. Arrives at Kelstedge 09:40. LIMITED parking in Kelstedge. Alternative to park in Ashover (such as on Moor Road) and walk to the start via the bridle path at the end of Marsh Green Lane or park at Ashover Parish Hall and wait for the group outside the Black Swan pub (approximately 20 minutes in to the walk).
