Full description:
We'll walk through Treeton village past Treeton Dyke, then follow the Trans Pennine Trail until we cross the motorway into Rother Valley Country park. We'll cross back over the motorway into Beighton to get to bus/tram stops. Because it’s a short walk, there won’t be a food break, so make sure to eat something in advance :)
Public transport or car sharing options:
Getting to the start:
Bus 95 to Rotherham Interchange (Arundel Gate AG2, 17:25 > Station Road/Front Street, 17:55)
Getting home from the finish:
- Bus 30a to Broomhill (High Street/Queens Road, 20:37 > Church Street/High Street, 21:03)
- 20 min walk + Bus 120 to Fulwood (Hartland Avenue/Delamere Close, 20:17 > Pond Street, 20:52)
- 20 min walk + Blue Supertram
Alternatively, you could take a train to Woodhouse or park your car/bike there. This does mean an extra 45 minute walk to get to the start, and an additional 35 minute walk back to Woodhouse at the end. It's likely to get dark on the day back if you choose this option. I recommend taking the abovementioned buses instead.
