Leader: Jacob

Difficulty: Moderate

Start time: 11am

Start and end point: Norfolk Arms Pub Ringinglow, circular route

Distance (in miles): 5.5

Is your walk dog friendly?: Yes, well-behaved dogs kept on a lead

Full description:

For this short circular walk we will start at the Norfolk Arms pub in Ringinglow, follow the track up onto Houndkirk Moor with great views of the city. We’ll aim to have our lunch on Burbage Edge with another great view before trekking across the Moor (potentially muddy/boggy!) and finishing off walking through the picturesque woodland of Lady Canning’s plantation trying to avoid getting run over by any mountain bikers. Afterwards we will head to the pub.

This is a short walk and will not be particularly taxing. However there are a few areas with tricky footing and muddy bits so please wear walking shoes/boots and suitable clothing for the season.

Public transport or car sharing options:

I do not believe there are regular buses to the start. Please arrange car shares in the comments on Meetup. There is ample parking at and around the pub.
