Distance: 12.5 miles

Full description: The walk begins along the river Wye, passing below Chee Tor viaduct and across the Chee Dale stepping stones. Continuing along the river, through Meadow Wood, then joining the Monsal Trail after Chee Tor Tunnel, passing the old lime kilns. Continuing along the Monsal Trail for further than I’d like due to an unsafe footbridge, we then walk over the top of Litton Tunnel and pass Water-cum-Jolly Dale. We rejoin the Monsal Trail before passing below Headstone viaduct and following the river to Deep Dale Nature Reserve. Finally we walk through Great Shacklow wood to Sheldon and then to Bakewell.
