A walk to just inside the Peak District National Park via various brooks and woodlands in the south west of the city.
Starting from Dore & Totley station we'll head through Poynton Wood before following Oldhay Brook to Blacka Plantation. We'll continue through the plantation and onto Blacka Moor where the only significant climb on our route is rewarded with great views back over the city. Having just crossed into the Peak District National Park we'll turn around and head over Totley Moor and back in the direction of Sheffield. Our return route will pass through various small woodlands including Gillfield Wood, Old Park Wood, and Ladies Spring Wood where deer can often be seen. The walk will finish back at Dore & Totley station.
