Start time: 10:45

Distance (in miles):  9.2

Full description:

Ticking off as many exciting rocks as we can - this walk from Birchover will stop by caves, stone circles, and some lovely big rocks.

Meeting by The Red Lion, we’ll head out towards Robin Hood’s Stride on the Limestone Way, making our way past a castle ring towards Youlgreave probably in search of snacks. We’ll walk along by the river if it’s not too muddy, then head up to Stanton and the Nine Ladies stone circle, across Stanton Moor and back to our starting place. There’s a pub at the end of course.

Dogs welcome.

This one is weather dependent so keep your fingers crossed for some lovely autumn weather.

Car sharing options:

Free parking opposite Birchover Stone on Birchover Road, around 5 mins walk from the pub. Unfortunately as this walk has been changed from Saturday to Sunday buses are not an option.
