Full description:

Starting at Dore & Totley station we will follow the Limb Brook Trail through Ecclesall Woods and on to the Limb Brook Valley. At Ringinglow, we will turn southwest past Lady Cannings Plantation following the Houndkirk Road byway before crossing Burbage Moor and dropping down to Burbage Brook. Next we will steeply ascend to Carl Wark hill fort (on Hathersage Moor). We will then head southeast towards The Fox House pub, this time jumping (or fording) the Burbage Brook. We will return to Dore via Totley Moor and Blacka Moor visiting the Dore Stones on route to The Dore Bar & Grill for a well-deserved bank holiday drink (excellent cake and coffee is available).

This walk will be relatively fast-paced and will be undulating throughout including some steep climbs. There will be rocky sections as well as boggy sections over the numerous moors (requiring sturdy walking boots).
