Dificulty: Moderate, the walk will be on rights of way across fields with muddy and rocky sections, plus tracks and some small lanes

Full Decription:

With the day before being the winter solstice in the northern hemisphere why not come out and mark the shortest days of the year with a 8 mile wander.

We will take in the delightful Bradford Dale with its old fishing ponds and limestone crags as well as the impressive gritstone tor of Robin hoods Stride. Plus what solstice walk would be incompleate without a stone circle! There is a potential pub stop in Youlgrave at the end

As ever with any walk you must bring to attend:

  • Appropriate footwear (boots with good tread and ankle support recommend)

  • Sutable layers to keep you warm and dry when moving and stoped for lunch

  • Food and drink to keep you going, will be having lunch out on the walk.

    A final reminder if you sign up and can no longer attend can you please change your status to can't make it to allow others to attend.
